Far less than a fully insured and cared for employee. Most businesses seem to be getting on fine using chair labor over human labor.

Just make knowledge work fully remote. There, no empty chairs to pay for. Obviously this won’t happen because of micromanagers.

I was 12 years in an office (across 4 companies) , 4 years fully remote (1 company). It’s very doable with the right people, and it helps if at least half the workers are also remote so you’re not an “outlier”
